With just a few simple steps, you can install Windows 11 on your PC. Here’s how to do it:
Steps to install Windows 11 on an old PC
Step 1: The very first requirement is downloading the Windows 11 iso file. It can be obtained from the official Windows 11 download page.
Step 2: Scroll down to the ‘Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)’ section. Therefrom the drop-down select Windows 11. And then start the download by clicking on the blue button.
Step 3: Windows 11 iso file is 5.1GB in size. While it downloads, we can jump to other procedures.
Step 4: On the search bar, type “regedit” and open the Registry Editor app.
Step 5: For administrator rights, to allow, click on ‘Yes.’
Step 6: Next, you’ll be able to see expandable folders on the left panel. By expanding them, you can find registries nested under various levels.
Step 7: Thus, Navigate to find this address: Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > Setup > MoSetup
Step 8: Or going the other way around, you can copy and paste Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup in the address bar, where “Computer” is written.
Step 9. Now, you can right-click on the right panel and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Step 10: In the ‘Value Name’ field, write or copy-paste AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU, and in the ‘Value Data’ field, type 1.
Step 11: Click on ‘OK,’ and close then you can close the app. Wait for the downloading to finish.
Step 12: Once the ISO gets downloaded, navigate its downloaded location and double-click on it so that it mounts itself and opens.
Step 13: Double-click on the setup file and the installation process will begin. You may receive a warning but the installer will not stop you from going ahead.
And that’s all. You’re ready to have the newest Windows 11 on your old PC.
