How to add NFT to twitter profile

Twitter has publicised a new feature adding NFTs as one of several ways to customize your Twitter profile. However, there is one caveat. Users can only use this feature if they follow Twitter Blue. This feature is only available for iOS users and we don’t know when it will be available on other platforms.

Setting up your NFT profile picture will allow people to link your Twitter account to the public crypto wallet address of your linked wallet. This means that all this information is available on the public blockchain, so your Twitter account is linked to the current and past transactions and assets of your cryptocurrency wallet, including all other NFTs in that wallet.

So if you want to show off the NFTs you own in a hex-shaped profile picture on your Twitter account. Here’s everything you need to know to add an NFT to Twitter profile.

How to add an NFT as a profile picture on Twitter

First, you have to be a Twitter Blue paid subscriber, which costs $3 a month. When you sign up for Twitter Blue, you can access Twitter from your iPhone. Then in the Twitter app, go to your profile (accessible from the sidebar) and you’ll be prompted to set your profile picture to NFT. To be notified, simply go to the profile of someone who is already using NFT in this way.
Now follow the following steps:

  • Click “Choose NFT” and then click “Connect My Wallet”.
  • Choose a wallet that includes NFTs, including MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and Rainbow (NFTs cannot be uploaded if the wallet is not available).
  • You will be redirected to your wallet and you will be prompted to link your wallet to Twitter.
  • Once the connection is established, the NFT gallery is displayed.
  • Choose an NFT and then resize it as needed.
  • Clickon to add the NFT as your profile picture.

Your profile picture will now be hexagonal to indicate to others that you are a verified NFT in your possession.

Viewing other people’s NFTs

If anyone else has an NFT with a hexagonal profile picture, you can click on their profile picture and then click “View NFT Details” to see more information about their NFT.

At the bottom of the NFT page, you will find additional information such as a description of what an NFT is. You can also see NFTs on the market by clicking on the link.

What’s an NFT?

NFTs (short for NonFungible Tokens) are unique digital objects, such as works of art, whose proof of ownership is stored on a blockchain (a public digital database).
