Google Pixel 4a hands-on video leak

Google Smart Phones

On March 9, Google Pixel 4a’s peeks have been leaked through an online video uploaded by “TechnoLike Plus”. The video showed what would be in and out of the device. As seen in the leaks, this phone appears to have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There’s a hole-punch selfie camera in the display and square camera module around back. It apparently features a single 12-megapixel sensor that can record 4K video. The phone featured in the video has a plastic build and a 5.8-inch display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution.

The phone handles with Android 10 software and Snapdragon 730 processor. The Snapdragon 730’s model number is actually SM7150, while SM6150 corresponds to the Snapdragon 675. The video had mentioned about the device containing the Snapdragon 730 as a chipset whereas it also lists the chipset as SM6150. TechnoLike Plus says that the phone will have a 3,080mAh battery and that they expect two configurations of the Pixel 4A to launch: one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The channel notes that the higher-end model might have a dual-SIM support. The Google Pixel 4A’s starting price is $399. This is the same starting price as the Pixel 3A from last year.

The phone looks like a pared-down Google Pixel 4. The square-shaped camera bump on the back of the device is a dead-ringer for the one on the Pixel 4 series. The white colorway, Google “G” logo, and orange-colored power button all carry over from the Pixel 4. However, there are some differences here. The matte-black ring that envelopes the Pixel 4 body is absent, the selfie camera is housed in a display cutout, there’s a headphone jack present, and there’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor here, too. The fingerprint sensor and display cutout make sense, though, as it would hardly be cost-effective to transfer all the face unlock tech from the Pixel 4 series to the Pixel 4a.

XDA’s further research states Sunfish is most likely the Google Pixel 4a. Google Pixel 4a will be 4G-only. The upgraded chipsets hint that the Pixel 4a series could be more powerful than the Pixel 3a series.Google doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to offering its devices in many places around the world. However, since the Pixel 4a is geared towards price-conscious consumers and developing markets, it’s pretty much a given the phones will hit the United States, Europe, and India.

As per XDA Developers, the Pixel 4a could see a substantial bump in storage read/write speeds. This information was spotted when Julio Lusson from the YouTube channel “TecnoLike Plus”, provided XDA with a picture of the Pixel 4a’s bootloader. The photo revealed that the Google Pixel 4a could feature an improved UFS 2.1 flash storage solution in the form of the 64GB SK Hynix chip.

In reacent, a new photo from TechDroider’s Twitter post (via Android Central) has shown what the Google Pixel 4A retail box looks like. Despite the image doesn’t portray much about the phone, but the designs on the box is parallel to what the leaks and rumors. This retail box leak suggests that the phone is ready to be stocked on shelves.

As for when this device will release, 9to5Google gives a vague estimate of “any time in the next month or two.” However, another leak of recent, indicates that it might be sooner than later. The global pandemic of corona virus is supposedly delaying the device launch. “Just Black” and “Barely Blue” are the color variations that google is providing to it’s user with the pixel 4a device.

Hence, the Google Pixel 4a holds much of expectation as it’s glance has shown some extra features that users might get excited about. What’s your opinion about the new Google Pixel 4a? Share down in the comment box below.
